Evergreen Marine Shipping Line, also known as Evergreen Line, is an international container shipping and transportation company offering a wide variety of services. Established in Taiwan in 1968 by Dr. Yung-Fa Chang with a secondhand cargo vessel, Evergreen began shipping containers in 1975. By 1985 the company had become the world’s largest container shipping company. Today, the company operates as the brand name ‘Evergreen Line’, along with Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) Ltd., Evergreen Marine (Hong Kong) Ltd., Evergreen Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd., Italia Marittima S.p.A. and Evergreen Marine (UK) Ltd. Evergreen Line’s headquarters is based in Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Their service area includes North America, Central America, the Caribbean, South America, Europe, the Mediterranean, Australia, Mauritius and South Africa. Evergreen Line also offers inra-Asia services to connect a multitude of ports in Asia to the Persian Gulf, Red Sea and the Middle East. Evergreen Line ultimately has 240 ports worldwide in 80 countries.
Evergreen Line is dedicated to maintaining minimal impact on the environment, living up to its name, with its largest ships being 7024 TEU S-series vessels which have been engineered to be as green and environmentally-friendly as possible while remaining commercially viable. Reefer Containers: Evergreen Line offers several options for refrigerated transportation of goods with the options of 20′ MGSS refrigerated containers, 20′ aluminium refrigerated containers, 40′ Hi-Cube refrigerated containers and 40′ Hi-Cube aluminium refrigerated containers.
Special Containers: Evergreen Line offers several options for specialized containers including: 20′ full height open top containers, 20′ flat rack containers with four freestanding posts, 20′ flat rack containers with collapsible ends, 40′ flat rack containers with four freestanding posts, 40′ flat rack containers with collapsible ends, 40′ full height open top containers and 40′ Hi-cube hangar containers.
